SALT LAKE CITY — Police are investigating a shooting near the Jordan River early Friday.
Officers responded to a report that a man had been shot by the Jordan River Parkway Trail near 250 North and Cornell Street shortly after 12:15 a.m., according to Salt Lake Police Sgt. Mark Wian.
The man, whose name and age have not yet been released, was transported to a hospital but he is expected to recover.
Police told KSL they do not know what led up to the shooting or who else was involved because they said the man who was shot was not cooperative with investigators. They said he refused to tell investigators anything about the incident or even his name.
The case remains under investigation.
