HELPER — One person died after a camping trailer burst into flames Monday morning.

About 1 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of the trailer on fire within the Helper Fire Department jurisdiction, agency officials said in a statement Tuesday. First responders found the body of an individual inside the trailer as they worked to extinguish the fire.

Helper fire officials did not specify where the trailer was or any details about the fire. The Utah State Medical Examiner's Office is helping identify the person who died. Fire officials add that Helper police and the Utah State Fire Marshall's Office are helping them investigate the fire.

"We would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased at this time," they wrote.
