Neighbors get into BYU-Utah rivalry

The battle between the cougars and the Utes on Saturday is pitting neighbor against neighbor on one Taylorsville street.

It's a tale of two neighbors on Kimman Lane. One bleeds Utah red, the other BYU blue, and the rooftops show it. From 5300 South you can see the giant blue Y and red U spelled out in Christmas lights on each roof.

Neighbors who live across the street insist there are no hard feelings, just a lot of fun. One neighbor said, "We were talking about, with the other neighbors, to put a BYU sticker on his garage door, just for fun."

That neighbor didn't know who started the rooftop smack-talk. Even the front yards are decked out in support of the teams: a BYU flag for the cougar fan and garage door magnets for the Ute fan.
