(KSL News) A Pleasant Grove woman accused of letting her daughter die of a drug overdose has pleaded not guilty.
Traci Sorenson was initially charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of her daughter, Kaydie. However, during a hearing yesterday, prosecutors reduced that charge to aggravated abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult.
Prosecutors claim Sorenson did nothing when she found her daughter passed out with an empty prescription drug bottle in her hand last May.
Sorenson's sister called 911 the next morning when she found the girl. Police say Kaydie may have taken as many as 90 oxycodone pills.
