(KSL News) -- For the first time the Miss America Organization will focus its community service efforts on a single cause, helping children's hospitals.

Partnering with the Children's Miracle Network, the pageant will combine fundraising efforts with the Salt Lake City-based nonprofit organization co-founded by Marie Osmond.

The groups will hold a series of joint fundraisers attended by the reigning Miss America or other state winners. Proceeds will be shared by local hospitals and the pageant's scholarship program.

The crowning of Miss America 2007 is scheduled for Monday.
