With the Legacy Parkway completed and open, the next construction projects around Legacy could be commercial developments.
There are hundreds of open acres around West Bountiful's and Wood's Cross's 500 South. Environmental restrictions will stop development to the west. But to the east, you're likely to see businesses and more homes spring up.
"It opens up that area to an extent. Already a number of our communities have seen growth on the west side," said West Bountiful City Administrator Wendell Wild.
As far as commercial development is concerned, Wild says it will come, and may even include big box stores. But he says they'll all be designed with a resort-town look and feel in mind.
