Leader of Episcopal church visits Salt Lake

(KSL News) The leader of the Episcopal Church made a rare visit to Salt Lake City today.

The Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori led services for a congregation at St. Mark's Cathedral in Salt Lake. She is the Presiding Bishop over the church and the only member of the church to hold the title Most Reverend.

During a press conference, Bishop Jefferts Schori talked about how interfaith cooperation could lead to a better world. "We can do things together. We can work to transform this world into something that looks more like the great dreams of God for all of humanity and all of creation. If we focus on that, the things that we hold differently somehow seem less important," she said.

Bishop Jefferts Schori serves more than two million members in 16 countries and 110 dioceses.
