High school students sent home after bomb threat

(KSL News and AP) Two schools in Murray and Murray City Hall were evacuated this morning due to a bomb threat.

Murray High School and Horizon Elementary School, along with Murray City Hall, were evacuated shortly after 11 a.m. when a person called police dispatch claiming bombs had been placed in all three buildings.

A spokeswoman for Murray City School District says the elementary students were sent to a nearby church, then allowed back into the school after the building was searched. The high school students went outside to the football stadium then sent home for the day.

City Hall was also evacuated, but reopened after police searched the building and did not find any evidence of a bomb.
