It's not necessarily a good idea to get behind the wheel if you're diabetic and your blood sugar is very low.
When people with diabetes go into shock, they get woozy, disoriented, and can start stumbling around. So what happens when they're behind the wheel?
We've now seen what can happen in that scenario. A 61-year-old man started swerving on southbound I-15 near 1300 South, even banging into cars. The Utah Highway Patrol says he then moved to I-80 and continued swerving.
In all, the man collided with 16 cars before another driver guided him off the freeway.
Luckily, only one person, a 10-year-old boy, was hurt. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
