Carjacking suspect kicks officer in the face

(KSL News) A carjacking suspect kicks a Salt Lake City police officer in the face during his arrest.

On Friday, Sept. 26, police say Hy Little approached a Subaru Legacy at a Smith's grocery store at 402 E. 6th Avenue and asked the driver for money. The man gave Little money. Police say Little then pulled out a knife and demanded the victim's car.

The victim complied, and Little took off.

A short time later an officer spotted the stolen vehicle pulling into the Chateau Motel at 1999 W. North Temple. Officers eventually entered the motel and found Little hiding in a stranger's room.

Little was arrested but struggled with officers, kicking one in the face.

He now faces charges of aggravated robbery, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
