Tom Callan reporting A bicyclist intends to press charges against a passenger in a pickup truck who reached out and gave him a pat on the back.
Too close for comfort says a Utah bicyclist Jason Bultman. He says he was touched on his back by a passenger in a pickup truck. "A slight misjudgment by the driver and I could have been killed, so that was extremely terrifying," Bultman said.
Bultman is also the president of the Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective and knows the laws regarding bicyclists and cars. The three-foot law says motorist should stay at least three feet away from those pedaling their bikes.
The three-foot law was passed after a student at the University of Utah was hit by an SUV in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
