DAVIS COUNTY — Three people injured in a two-car collision on Thanksgiving remained hospitalized Saturday, but their conditions were expected to improve.

The two men and a woman were involved in a head-on collision Thursday. The driver of a white pickup truck, 25-year-old Lehi resident Mark Horne, was driving northbound in the southbound lane on Legacy Parkway when the crash with a Toyota Rav4 occurred.

Police had received calls of a pickup driving the wrong direction on the highway just before the crash.

The driver of the SUV, 29-year-old Nicole Smith of Syracuse, was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital in critical condition. Her condition has improved and she is now in stable condition.

A passenger in the pickup, an unidentified 27-year-old man, remains in critical condition at University Hospital.

Horne's condition has improved and he is in stable condition at University Hospital.

Troopers suspected alcohol was a factor in the crash after smelling it in the cab of the truck, but no analyses have confirmed that as a factor.
