WEST VALLEY CITY — A man is dead after the vehicle he was driving hit a fire hydrant Friday afternoon, officials confirmed.
Easa Mohammad, 58, was thrown from his car after he crashed into a tree and fire hydrant near 1595 W. Vivante Way, according to West Valley City Police Sgt. Anthony Chapman.
Mohammad was pronounced at the scene. There were no other occupants in the car.
Chapman did not know if Mohammad was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Information about what led to the crash was not immediately available. The crash remains under investigation.
