THISTLE, Utah County — One person was critically injured Monday after a minivan and semitruck collided on U.S. 6, troopers said.

The crash occurred about 7 a.m. at the Thistle junction near Soldier Summit, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.

A medical helicopter transported the injured person to a hospital.

U.S. 6 closed temporarily in the area due to the crash.

Additional information was not immediately available.
