SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Smoggy conditions continue to plague parts of northern Utah.
The Utah Department of Environmental Quality has issued a "red" alert for air quality Wednesday in Salt Lake, Davis and Cache counties.
That means the air quality is unhealthy for those with respiratory or heart disease and that the elderly and children should avoid being outside for extended amounts of time.
Wood burning is also prohibited in those counties.
