(KSL News) The number of births to teenage mothers in Utah went up in 2005 for the first time in six years.
The annual Kids Count report showed the number of teen births went from 854 in 2004 to 917 in 2005. That is an increase of about one percent.
The survey also shows that despite Utah's strong economy, the number of children living in poverty remained at just over 12 percent.
