BOUNTIFUL -- A man accused of stabbing a Bountiful woman 51 times has pleaded not guilty to first-degree felony murder.
Court documents say Phillip Simmons claimed he heard voices in his head before he killed Suzanne Fry in January of 2008.
After his arrest Simmons was taken to the Utah State Hospital where he received treatment. Doctors say he is now mentally competent to stand trial.
However, defense attorneys say they will still argue he was not in his right mind at the time of the crime.
