LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON -- Search and rescue crews were trying to reach two lost hikers in Little Cottonwood Canyon Sunday night.
Sheriff's officials said the men -- both in their 20s -- went hiking on the north side of the canyon around 2:30 p.m.
When it got dark, they decided to turn back but got lost.
Search crews were using a helicopter to shine lights on the men, while ground crews were trying to hike in to bring them warm clothes and help them hike off the mountain.
