UTAH COUNTY -- A private company wants to build a private toll bridge across Utah Lake and it wants your input on the idea.

The $600 million bridge would stand 35 feet above the lake and cut 14 miles off the trip from Orem to Saratoga Springs.

However, some groups and lawmakers worry about the need for the bridge and its potential environmental impact.

The Utah Lake Commission will host a public hearing in Provo.

  • Location: Utah County Health and Justice Building
    151 S. University Ave.
  • Thursday, 6 p.m.

The hearing will include a brief presentation of the proposal and of the review process, and an opportunity for public comment.
