SALT LAKE CITY -- Four pieces of Utah history are now history.
Bidding has ended on eBay for the four original lions that guarded the State Capitol--also known as Patience, Integrity, Honor and Fortitude. Combined, they sold for more than $24,000.
The Capitol Preservation Board auctioned the crumbling concrete cats to make room for more durable lions, made of marble.
The money from the sale will go to the Utah State Surplus Fund.
