SOUTH SALT LAKE -- Police in South Salt Lake are searching for a man who robbed a woman in front of the Maverik gas station at 2650 S. Main St. Tuesday morning.

Police say the man approached the woman and asked about a bus schedule. Without warning, he pushed her, grabbed her wallet and jumped into a waiting vehicle.

The car he left in is described as a white or silver, older compact car, possibly a Honda. It had damage to the right rear fender panel.

If anyone has seen the suspects or suspect vehicle they are asked to contact South Salt Lake Police Dispatch at 801-840-4000.
