INDIANOLA, Utah (AP) -- A wildfire that started a week ago north of Indianola has burned 260 acres.
Smoke and flames have been visible from Highway 89 and Highway 6. The fire is being allowed to burn to benefit the local forest ecosystem.
The fire, burning in the Lake Canyon area, was sparked by lightning July 2.
It's burning in pinyon and juniper trees along with scattered brush and grasses.
The fire is being monitored by the U.S. Forest Service.
