(KSL News) -- The cost of registering a vehicle in Salt Lake County may soon be going back down.

The county imposed a 10 dollar fee in July to help pay for the Mountain View Corridor. However, that money has been diverted for use on minor road projects in Sandy and Holladay, leading County Council members to consider rescinding it.

If the council decides to get rid of the fee, it'll likely happen early next year.
