SALT LAKE CITY -- Police arrested a University of Utah football player for punching and kicking two men at a bar.

Ute sophomore and linebacker Maurice Neal is charged with two counts of assault and one count of fleeing from police.

The Deseret News reports police say they watched Neal knock out a man at Lumpy's Bar on Sunday, and then kick another man until he lost consciousness.

When officers tried to stop him, Neal fled on foot. He eventually stopped at 280 S. West Temple and was arrested.

He's now in the Salt Lake County Jail on $2,500 bail.
