SALT LAKE CITY -- There were honors Tuesday for someone very close to KSL 5 News: Spence Kinard was inducted into the Utah Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Kinard is a longtime former news director of KSL Television. He also served for many years as the speaking voice of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on the CBS Radio broadcast "Music and the Spoken Word."

Along with Kinard, another veteran broadcaster was added to the Hall of Fame Tuesday. The late Bennie Williams was honored for his long career, primarily at KALL Radio.
