(KSL News) -- A Salt Lake man faces serious 'Elder Abuse' charges.
Thomas Hinkle Jr. is charged with aggravated kidnapping, abuse of vulnerable adults, violation of a protective order and criminal mischief.
He's accused of hitting his mother several times, bruising her face and arms. He also threw a frozen water bottle at his Alzheimer's-stricken father.
The younger Hinkle then held his parents against their will for 14 hours. Before leaving he pushed his mother to the floor and kicked out the screen of the television.
