SALT LAKE CITY -- The trial for a former West High School teacher accused of sexually abusing a student will go on.
Trial proceedings will begin next week for Jose Fanjul. Court documents say he had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl at West High last year. He is the second faculty member to be accused of abuse by the same girl.
He pleaded not guilty to those charges back in December.
Yesterday, a judge ordered prosecutors to turn over possible inconsistent statements by the alleged victim in preparation for the case.
