OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Trevyn Smith ran for 203 yards and participated in a trick play that resulted in a 49-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter to lead Weber State to a 19-14 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday.

With 17 seconds remaining in the third, Ian Pizarro handed the ball off to Smith, who pitched it right back, and Pizarro then threw a long completion to a wide-open Terry Larsen.

The play put the Wildcats (2-4, 3-6 Big Sky) up 19-14.

Eastern Washington (2-8, 2-5) was slowed by Weber State's defense in the second half. The Eagles were held to 2 yards of offense in the third quarter, and 32 yards on the half.

The Wildcats said they wanted to win for coach Ron McBride. McBride was suspended by the Big Sky Conference for comments following a loss last week.

He will return for Weber State's game next week against Northern Arizona.
