(KSL News) An accident between a truck and a car could have been much worse if the vehicles had been moving any faster.
Dave Lehnhof, Unified Fire Dept.: "This is one of the most dangerous stretches in the state of Utah."
A truck broadsided a car as it crept into the intersection of 80th West and Highway 201.
The truck tried to slow down, but couldn't avoid the crash. There were no serious injuries, but officers say the situation could have been fatal.
Chandler Crason, Utah Highway Patrol: "If the driver hadn't reduced most of his speed before impact, definite fatality."
Officers urge drivers to slow down in that area, because there are many intersections crossing the highway.
