Bountiful High Holds Lockdown Drill

(KSL News) -- The recent rash of school shootings has schools all over the country concerned and improving security measures.

Today at Bountiful High School, students and faculty were put through a lock down drill so they will know what to do in such a such a situation. An officer posed as a gunman took the band room hostage, shooting two students with a mock gun.

Police responded immediately and entered the building.

Ryck Aftle, Bountiful High School Principal:"It could happen anywhere and we would just hope it would never happen at Bountiful High, but we want to be prepared the best we could be if it ever did happen."

The drill took about 45 minutes and all students and parents were notified beforehand.
