AMERICAN FORK — A small Utah County business is closed until further notice after a car slammed through its storefront on Father's Day, sending debris across the shop and halting what the owner described as a year of growing momentum.

The crash happened Sunday at Deer Haven Ribbon and Blooms, located near 1100 East and 50 South. The impact pushed the vehicle through the front window and into the shop, causing extensive interior damage.

"That was the big window that he full‑on crashed on," owner Cami Stark said as she surveyed the wreckage Monday.

Stark said she had stopped by the store to pick up candy for her father‑in‑law when she discovered the scene.

"The window was completely in, and the car was about to here," she said, gesturing toward the center of the shop. "The car was just in here, totally damaged."

Although the exterior damage appears limited, the inside tells a different story.

"There are big cracks all over here," Stark said. "There's glass everywhere, brick everywhere. This is only the second time I've been in here since Sunday."

Stark has owned the shop for three years and said business had recently begun to pick up.

"We haven't even gone through this," she said, referring to the cleanup and repair process still ahead.

Despite the uncertainty, Stark said she's determined to rebuild.

"Tragedy and hard things are an opportunity to make things better," she said. "I think this is a good opportunity to say, 'How do we make this better? How do we make this a positive experience for us and other people?'"

Stark said the business plans to continue selling candy and other products while repairs are underway. Updates will be posted on the shop's Instagram and Facebook pages.
