SNOWVILLE, Box Elder County — A 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported near Snowville in Box Elder County Thursday afternoon.

The epicenter occurred around 2:58 p.m., about 7.8 miles south-southwest of Snowville and about 45 miles west-northwest of Brigham City, according to the U.S. Geological Survey website.

There are no reports of any damage in the area.
