WEST JORDAN — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car in West Jordan Sunday night.
The man, who was identified Tuesday by West Jordan police as Abram Alvarado, 25, was riding a motorcycle near the intersection of Banquet Avenue and Cougar Lane about 8:10 p.m. when the crash happened.
Upon their arrival, police and first responders attempted lifesaving measures, but Alvarado died at the scene.
A GoFundMe* was started in Alvarado's honor to help raise funds for funeral costs.
"Our family is heartbroken by this sudden loss. We are now facing the difficult task of arranging his funeral and honoring his memory in the way he deserves," the fundraiser reads.
As of Tuesday, the crash was still under investigation.
