SALT LAKE CITY — A Spanish Fork family was displaced after a house fire destroyed their home Tuesday evening, according to officials.

The blaze began just before 6 p.m. on 1230 West in Spanish Fork, according to Deputy Fire Chief Krista Horting. Several nearby agencies responded to fight the fire and were able to put it out but not before the home was declared a complete loss.

Officials initially provided an incorrect address for the home and say they are unsure of the exact address.

No injuries were reported, and no nearby structures suffered any damage, Horting said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials believe it started in the garage area before spreading to the rest of the home.
