ST. GEORGE — The Utah Tech University student who died Sunday after falling from a balcony has been identified as a 22-year-old freshman.

Jordon "Don" Konanui-Kong fell from the balcony of his fifth-floor room at Campus View Suites II, a student housing unit, about 5:40 p.m.

Konanui-Kong "was transported to St. George Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. No additional information is available at this time as an investigation, which was conducted as part of standard operating procedure, is still ongoing," the Utah Tech Police Department announced Tuesday.

Konanui-Kong fell over 70 feet, according to St. George News.

No other details have been released.
