WASHINGTON, Washington County — A Washington, Washington County, home valued at approximately $750,000 is considered a total loss following a fire on Monday.

Fire crews were dispatched about 6:45 p.m. to a home located on 1900 East off Washington Dam Road after a woman in the home was alerted to a possible fire by the smoke alarms, Washington Fire Capt. Chris Noel said.

The woman was the only one inside the home at the time of the fire and evacuated safely, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Noel said.
