DAMMERON VALLEY, Washington County — A structure fire reported in Dammeron Valley early Tuesday morning prompted a multiagency response to fight the quickly spreading blaze.

About 5:18 a.m., the St. George Consolidated Communications Center received a report that a single-family home on North Pinion Hills Drive in Dammeron Valley was on fire.

Sgt. Lucas Alfred, with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, told St. George News that all three occupants and three dogs evacuated the home safely prior to the firefighters' arrival.

The home was destroyed in the blaze, Alfred said, and the cause is still under investigation. No injuries to responders or civilians were reported at the scene.
