OGDEN — A man died after losing control on a motorcycle and crashing in Ogden Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 1 p.m., Shaun Peat, 58, was traveling north "at a high rate of speed" near 4000 Airport Road when he lost control of the bike and left the roadway, Ogden police said.

Peat sustained significant injuries and was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries after arriving.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Police said Airport Road will be closed throughout Tuesday afternoon while the crash is investigated and cleaned up.
