WEST VALLEY CITY — A woman was killed in a car crash Saturday at the intersection of 4100 South and Mountain View Corridor.
About 8 p.m., police say a vehicle traveling west on 4100 South entered the intersection with Mountain View Corridor. According to police, a witness said the driver had a red light at the time.
The vehicle collided with a vehicle that was heading south on Mountain View Corridor.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was a 33-year-old woman who suffered moderate injuries, West Valley police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku.
A passenger in the westbound car, a 54-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead, Vainuku said.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was taken to the hospital and is OK, Vainuku said.
The crash remains under investigation.
