(KSL News) -- Neighbor concerns could prevent a snake farm from coming to Mapleton.
A city planning commission meeting last night on the issue was packed.
Dan and Colette Sutherland are moving from California and they want to bring their snakes with them. The Deseret morning news reports the commission decided 212 small animals are allowed but the Sutherlands say that's not enough to make the business work.
The Sutherlands have more than 1,000 snakes to breed.
The biggest questions were about how much waste and pollution the animals may create. The commission will review concerns about the impact on property values at their next meeting.
