WASHINGTON, Washington County — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a Las Vegas man who was hit and killed by two passing cars on the Southern Parkway in Washington County on Friday night.

About 7 p.m., a man in his 50s was walking on the two-lane state Route 7 — which connects St. George and Hurricane — when a passing vehicle struck him, according to a statement from UHP. The man was hit by a second vehicle shortly thereafter and pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers have not said why they suspect the man was walking in the road. The man was identified Monday as Keith Bunker, 52, of Las Vegas.

No other injuries were reported.
