SOUTH JORDAN — A massage therapist who once had his license suspended is now facing charges of inappropriately touching a client.

Scott Keene Morrison, 50, was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with three counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.

In June, a woman reported she was sexually assaulted while receiving a massage from Morrison at his South Jordan home. The woman told investigators the first time she went to Morrison, nothing happened. The second time, however, he inappropriately touched her and made unprofessional comments, according to charging documents.

"When (the woman) got up to get dressed, Morrison would not leave the room. (She) felt that Morrison was blocking her from leaving so she 'played nice' until she could leave. (She) stated that Morrison sent her a text message offering a free service" and "apologized for his behavior and tried to offer a free service 'to make up for it,'" the charges state.

As police investigated, they learned of several previous complaints through the Utah Department of Professional Licensing, according to the charges, dating back to 2007.

"(Morrison's) license was suspended but reinstated in April 2011. (He) is still currently working as a massage therapist out of his residence," the charges say.

A warrant for Morrison's arrest and a request for him to be held in the Salt Lake County Jail without bail was issued Monday.
