GEORGETOWN, Idaho — A woman was killed and five people were injured in a crash in Bear Lake County on Sunday, according to Idaho police.

The crash occurred at 7:47 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 30 several miles north of Georgetown, Idaho, when a westbound 2013 Chevrolet Impala crossed the center line and hit an eastbound 2014 Toyota pickup truck.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 24-year-old woman from Montpelier, Idaho, was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to police. A juvenile in that vehicle was also taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Toyota, a 44-year-old man, was taken to the hospital, along with a 42-year-old woman and two juveniles.

The highway was closed for about four hours Sunday night, police said. The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the names of the victims were not released.
