CENTERVILLE — Young Powersports — Utah's largest powersports dealership — is hosting a grand opening celebration for the company's Centerville location on Friday and Saturday.

Festivities kicked off on Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring speeches from Young Automotive Group executives and Davis County officials. Additionally, Viewmont High School's Carly Maloney, Utah's 2024 Teacher of the Year, was gifted with a $3,000-plus scooter.

Young Powersports XL Centerville is located at 547 S. Frontage Road. Friday night will feature a "Trunk or Treat" event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"The event will have not only sweets and decorated machines, but special prizes for students and teachers," said a release from the company.

Young Powersports XL Centerville employees will spend a portion of the day delivering coloring pages to classrooms across the Davis School District and the winning student will receive a Nintendo Switch. The three teachers whose classes had the most entries will receive $500, $300 and $200.

In addition to grand opening special deals, the dealership will be hosting seven-time Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath for a meet-and-greet event on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

"Opened in August, Young Powersports XL Centerville carries machines from 12 of the industry's most iconic manufacturers, with an adjacent Honda Powersports location on the way. The facility houses not only powersports vehicles, accessories, gear and apparel but also a Daily Rise Coffee franchise, a barber and a nail technician. It is currently the largest powersports dealership in Utah," said a release from the company.
