SPANISH FORK — The Utah County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man at a popular hot springs.

Deputies and search and rescue crews were called Friday on a report of a man who was not conscious or breathing at Fifth Water Hot Springs in Diamond Fork Canyon. Sgt. Spencer Cannon said the man was found unresponsive in the water by others using the hot springs.

"The victim could not be revived," the sheriff's office said in a prepared statement.

The man was identified Friday night as Devin Andrew Twedt, 42, of Nibley. Cannon said the death is not considered suspicious and his body has been taken to the Medical Examiner's Office to learn the cause of death.

The trail to the popular hot springs is about 2.5 miles one-way with a 700-foot elevation gain.
