(KSL News) -- Eating out in Utah County will soon be slightly less expensive.
Last night the County Commission voted to reduce the tourism tax on food and beverages from 0.7 percent to .65 percent.
That will bring the price of a hundred dollar meal down by five centes.
Commissioners made the move not to help diners, but to reduce a surplus in tax revenue that commissioners have had difficulty appropriating.
