AROUND THE SHIELD — The season of Dalton Schultz continued on Monday night.

Schultz caught a season-high seven passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys' 31-14 win over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card round.

With the performance, the Bingham High alum who played collegiately at Stanford became the first tight end in Cowbooys history to score two receiving touchdowns in a playoff game.

Dak Prescott threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns in the win, but his tight end was a main target all night. No other pass catcher caught more than five passes, and Schultz was targeted eight times.

"That's a great reflection of his and Dak's relationship. Dalton goes to quarterback meetings. Talk about two guys on the same page," Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy told Dallas media after the game. "You look at all the great quarterbacks in their careers, there's probably a damn good tight end they play with for a long time, too. I think you're seeing that connection grow."

Schultz is one of 15 players who played high school or college football in the Beehive State to advance to this weekend's divisional round, one of eight on an active roster, and one of three active-roster players who played high school football in Utah.
