DRAPER — Northbound I-15 was closed for a few hours late Friday night and early Saturday morning due to a fatal crash in Draper.
Officers were dispatched to the crash on northbound I-15 at about 14100 South at 10:14 p.m.
A Utah Department of Public Safety statement said there were two vehicles involved in the crash. It said a Jeep Wrangler was traveling to the left of a Toyota Tundra that was in the right lane.
"The Jeep left its lane and struck the Tundra on the left rear quarter panel. The impact caused the Jeep to lose control and roll over several times across the lanes to the left," the statement said.
The woman driving the Tundra had minor injuries, and a male passenger in the Tundra did not have any injuries.
A man ejected from a Jeep Wrangler was pronounced dead at the scene.
The statement said officers are investigating impairment of the jeep driver as a possible cause of the crash.
