HALCHITA, San Juan County — At least one person is dead following a collision on U.S. 163 on Tuesday, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The crash — which occurred near Halchita, just 18 miles north of the Arizona border — blocked most of the road, and Navajo Nation police say traffic is down to just one lane.

Police said a semitruck and a sedan were involved in the crash, but did not provide more information, including the names or ages of the individuals involved.
