SALT LAKE CITY — Each week, we open it up to the fans to create a Top 25 ballot for college football; and for the most part, the consensus KSL.com Top 25 Fan Poll is fairly close to the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Our favorite, though, is when we see the local teams ranked in the consensus near the middle or bottom of the rankings, but with first-place votes. Utah is ranked No. 12 in the KSL.com Top 25 Fan Poll this week, which is where the schools lands in the AP poll, but has two first-place votes!
Similarly, BYU, which is at No. 20 this week, one spot lower than its spot in the AP poll, also has two first-place votes. The only other team to receive a first-place vote — outside the top three — is Florida State, which is ranked No. 22 this week.
